Daniel Foote, P.E.

Mechanical Engineer

I have always enjoyed playing sports and building Legos, but my love for math led me to pursue engineering.  After graduating from high school, I continued my education at Tennessee Technological University (Tech).  As part of a team project in a freshman engineering class, I designed, built, and drove a working underwater remote-operated vehicle.  My interest in this project led me to declare mechanical engineering as my major.  Following my sophomore year, I was blessed with the opportunity to get work experience on a co-op with a manufacturing company, but I wanted my career to have a design aspect.  I returned to Tech and spent the next two years focused on fluids and HVAC design.  In 2017, I graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

In my last semester of college, I received an email asking about my resume and if I had interest in the HVAC consulting field.  Two months later, I started working at Kurzynske & Associates as a plumbing and mechanical engineer.  Since then, I have learned a great deal about design and the industry, and the people at Kurzynske & Associates make my job all the better.  My experience includes plumbing and mechanical design in restaurants and retail stores, as well as university work.  I learn every day, and our office is seemingly always crossing new challenges together.

I met my wife Caroline through church and the BCM at Tech, and we got married in the summer of 2017.  We are active in our local church and enjoy being a part of the work there.  In 2022, I obtained my Professional Engineering license just over a month before our first daughter was born.  We are now the proud parents of two beautiful girls and are excited to see what God has in store for our family.  Outside of work and church, we enjoy disc golf and almost anything else that gets us outside, but we also enjoy time inside playing games or watching a movie.
